2026 Gemini Super New Moon: Lilith and Eris Challenge Walking Our Talk

Quick note: My posts are usually layered. The intro and closing carry the heart of the message; the aspect breakdowns are for those who love the deeper cosmic mechanics. Read your way — the message will land.

On Sunday, June 14th, at 10:54PM EDT, a Super New  Moon will emerge at  24°02′ of Gemini.

A Super Moon occurs when the Moon is at or near its closest point to Earth in its elliptical orbit.  While we typically notice this most during Full Moons, when they appear larger and brighter in the sky, the energetic imprint of a Super New Moon is also amplified. Typically, we experience three to four Super Moons each year.

Falling in Gemini, this New Moon may find us acting — or being thrust into — highly social, fast-paced, and intellectually stimulating environments.  Yet beneath all the chatter, this lunation carries a not-so-subtle invitation to examine our own communication style, the narratives we carry about ourselves and others, and the ideas we have quietly accepted as truth.

With Black Moon Lilith and Eris in the mix, we are asked to consider how we package our truth, the facts we cling to and repeat, the stories we tell ourselves, and whether they genuinely align with what we believe to be right, authentic, and sovereign.

Among all the noise, opinions, data points, headlines, and endless intellectualization, does it actually sit right with us?

Does achieving a desired outcome justify every method used to achieve it?

Does financial gain excuse decisions that conflict with our values?

Are we walking our talk — or simply defending narratives that have become comfortable?

Jupiter and Mars suggest we consider more than what looks good on paper. How do our choices feel emotionally, financially, physically - in our gut?  Is the trajectory of our thoughts and actions creating a life that feels secure, sustainable, and aligned?

There is no shortage of information circulating right now. Facts and figures are disseminated. Technology continues advancing. Policies are proposed, passed, challenged, and revised.

The question is not whether information exists.

The question is what we do with it.

How we internally, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually navigate all of this must serve our deepest values and nourish us in meaningful ways. We need to look under the hood.

No more intellectualizing something that simply sounds good, looks good, or benefits us in the short term.

It needs to be emotionally, physically, individually, and collectively substantive.

New Moon Aspects

Inconjunct Mars in Taurus

As with the Sagittarius Full Moon, once again we are dealing with a debilitated Mars forming an uncomfortable inconjunct with the Gemini New Moon.

Mars in Taurus is forced to move slowly and deliberately, valuing consistency, patience, and tangible results. While Gemini wants to explore every idea, chase every possibility, and keep the mental wheels turning, Taurus asks a simple question:

"Will this actually work in the real world?"

This aspect may highlight where our desire for immediate action, stimulation, or endless brainstorming has drifted away from what is sustainable financially, emotionally, or physically.

The challenge is not choosing one over the other.

It is allowing Taurus to provide a solid foundation while Gemini keeps the ideas flowing. The goal is to avoid both extremes: restless motion without substance or stability that has become a rut.

Let Taurus build the foundation.
Let Gemini keep it alive.

Inconjunct Jupiter in Cancer

If Mars in Taurus asks whether something is sustainable, Jupiter in Cancer asks whether it feels right.

Gemini excels at gathering information, exploring possibilities, and analyzing every angle. Jupiter in Cancer expands our need for emotional security, intuition, belonging, and trust in what our gut is telling us.

This aspect reminds us that not everything can be solved intellectually.

Sometimes the facts look good.
The numbers make sense.
The plan appears sound.

Yet something still feels off.

The inconjunct asks us to examine where we may be over-intellectualizing emotions, rationalizing discomfort, or ignoring our intuitive knowing in favor of a compelling argument.

Not everything that makes sense nourishes us.

Not everything that looks good on paper creates a life that feels good to live.

Opposite Black Moon Lilith in Sagittarius

In various mythologies—particularly Hebrew folklore—Lilith is said to have been Adam's first wife. Refusing submission, she chose exile over surrendering her autonomy. As a result, she became a symbol of rebellion, sovereignty, and the refusal to compromise one's truth.

Black Moon Lilith represents our untamed nature, our non-negotiable truths, and the places where we refuse to be spiritually, emotionally, or intellectually confined.

During this opposition, Lilith highlights what we can no longer ignore, deny, or conveniently explain away.

Gemini seeks information.
Lilith in Sagittarius demands truth.

Not truth as ideology.
Not truth as talking points.
Not truth as something inherited from others.

Truth as something personally examined and consciously lived.

This aspect asks us to look at where our words, beliefs, and daily choices may have drifted out of alignment with what we genuinely know to be true.

It challenges us to release rigid narratives and move beyond simply repeating information toward embodying wisdom

Sextile Eris in Aries

In Greek mythology, Eris is the Goddess of Discord. Uninvited to a royal wedding, she famously tossed a golden apple inscribed "To the Fairest" into the gathering, setting into motion a chain of events that ultimately led to the Trojan War.

Astrologically, Eris represents the voice that refuses to remain silent in the face of hypocrisy, inequality, exclusion, or injustice.

She is the disruptor.

The whistleblower.

The one willing to ask uncomfortable questions.

Where Lilith asks us to reclaim our truth, Eris gives us the courage to express it.

This supportive sextile offers an opportunity to advocate for ourselves, challenge outdated narratives, and call attention to what is no longer working without becoming consumed by anger or chaos.

Not every disruption is destructive.

Sometimes disruption is the first step toward honesty.

Mercury the New Moon Ruler in Retrograde pre-shadow

Mercury, ruler of this Gemini New Moon, entered its pre-retrograde shadow just days before this lunation, amplifying the reflective and internal nature of this cycle.

Before Mercury officially begins its retrograde journey, we are given an opportunity to notice what may require review, revision, or deeper examination.

And perhaps that begins with our own backyard.

It is easy to identify inconsistencies in others.

It is much harder to identify them within ourselves.

Before pointing out where others may be out of alignment, this New Moon asks us to examine our own thoughts, words, choices, and assumptions.

How closely do our actions reflect what we claim to believe?

How often do we defend a narrative simply because it benefits us, comforts us, or confirms what we already think we know?

Mercury's upcoming retrograde reminds us that clarity often comes through reflection, not reaction.

Below is some Mercury retrograde data that will be covered more extensively in the June 29th Capricorn Full Moon post.

Pre-Retrograde Shadow: June 12 – June 29, 2026

Retrograde Phase: June 29 – July 23, 2026

Post-Retrograde Shadow: July 23 – August 6, 2026

Retrograde Degrees Covered: 26° 15 to 16° 18 of Cancer.

In Closing…

This Gemini Super New Moon reminds us that knowledge and wisdom are not the same thing.

We live in a world overflowing with information, opinions, statistics, headlines, algorithms, and endless opportunities to explain, defend, justify, and intellectualize our choices. Yet beneath all the noise remains a much simpler question:

Do our words, actions, and decisions genuinely reflect what we claim to value?

With Lilith and Eris woven into this lunation, we may find ourselves confronting uncomfortable truths—not only about the systems, institutions, and narratives around us, but about ourselves.  Where have we become disconnected from our own authenticity?  Where have we accepted explanations when what was really required was honest self-examination?

The Gemini New Moon does not ask us to have all the answers. It asks us to remain curious enough to keep asking better questions.

Mars and Jupiter challenge us to move beyond ideas and ask whether our choices are emotionally sustainable, physically grounded, and aligned with what we know in our hearts to be true.

As Mercury begins its retrograde journey, perhaps the invitation is simple:

Before asking whether others are walking their talk, we must pause long enough to examine whether we are walking ours.

Because information may shape our beliefs, but integrity is revealed when what we profess to believe is evident in our words, our actions, and what we are willing to tolerate.

New Moon Blessings,
Brenda
