2025 Taurus Full Supermoon: Seeking Solid Ground Amid Change — And Who Knew Mercury Retrograde Would Be Our Saving Grace?

Quick note: My posts are layered. The intro + closing share the essence, while the aspect breakdowns are for those who love the deeper dive. Read your way — the message will come through either way.

On November 5th at 8:19 AM (EST), a Full Supermoon at 13°22′ Taurus illuminates the sky. Though breathtakingly beautiful and minimally aspected, this Moon is not to be taken lightly. It speaks to the Nodes of Fate, stands at the threshold of Mercury’s retrograde, and rises within ongoing cosmic dialogues among the personal planets—Mercury, Mars, Venus—and the outer ones: Pluto, Saturn, Neptune, Jupiter, and Uranus.

The Taurus Full Moon seeks solid ground beneath an emotionally charged sky. Opposing the Scorpio Sun, it anchors us amid deep transformation—where shadow meets illumination and what’s been hidden begins to come to light.

To understand the potency of this lunation, we need to look at how we arrived here.

In late October, Mercury in Scorpio formed a Grand Water Trine with Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, stirring deep emotional reflection and revealing what needed healing or release. When Mars joined Mercury, the tone intensified—urgency entered the dialogue, and emotions that had simmered beneath the surface began to demand action.

By the end of the month, Mercury and Mars moved into new terrain—forming an opposition to Uranus in Gemini and a sextile with Pluto in Aquarius, lasting until November 3rd. The atmosphere shifted: what was once internal turned outward—igniting dialogue, disruption, and daring action.

The Taurus Moon rises shortly after these two waves of activity—grounded and steady in the midst of flux.

Four days after the full moon, Mercury turns retrograde, retracing its path through Scorpio to rejoin the water trine—this time alongside Venus. Together, they reintroduce grace, diplomacy, and heart-centered perspective where tension once ruled.

As Mercury stations direct and follows Venus’s lead, the celestial tone softens, making space for understanding, integration, and forward movement.

Whatever unfolds between late October and November 12 will find resolution around December 15, as Mercury retraces his steps through a third and final opposition to Uranus.

Rather than unpack every aspect individually, we’ll explore them in chronological groups—following the story of how mind, heart, and will learn to move together through change.

Chronological Aspect Groups and their Interpretations

Mercury, Mars, and the Outer Planets

  • October 24th: Mercury in Scorpio created a water trine with Saturn and Neptune in Pisces and Jupiter in Cancer.

  • October 25th: Mars joined that trine.

  • October 30th: Mercury moved out of the trine and began an opposition with Uranus in Gemini and a sextile with Pluto in Aquarius, lasting until November 3.

Interpretation:
The October 25th Grand Water Trine opened a deep and reflective period.  Mercury in Scorpio is penetrating—it thinks and feels with intensity and seeks truth beneath the surface. What was hidden and needed to be brought to light and transmuted rose for review.  This trine invited us to think the thoughts, speak the words, and do the healing work where old wounds still linger—individually and collectively. The themes were likely familiar, recurring issues that have been surfacing and lingering for some time now..

Jupiter exalted in Cancer, Neptune in rulership in Pisces, and Saturn in Pisces all supported Mercury’s process. Jupiter in Cancer played the loving mother, encouraging our efforts; Saturn in Pisces acted as the disciplined father, asking that we ground our intentions in tangible form; Neptune in Pisces held the vision, reminding us that dreams can become real when infused with faith and structure.

Beautiful, right? Not so fast. On October 28th, Mars—ruling Scorpio—entered the conversation, adding urgency to the mix. Suddenly there was a push, a strategy, a need to make things happen now. Sometimes this drive may have come across as intense or even aggressive. With Mercury and Mars traveling together, the mind and tongue sharpen. What was once a gentle current of healing could easily become a cutting remark that bursts the bliss balloon offered by the Water Trine.

By October 30th, the cosmos doubled down on instability as Mercury moved out of the Grand Water Trine and into opposition with Uranus—the planet of sudden change, disruption, and rebellion against authority. The saving grace lay in Mercury’s sextile to Pluto: transformative communication could lead to breakthroughs if we spoke with conscious intention and loving clarity. Otherwise, words may have landed as manipulative, coercive, or forceful.

Taurus Full Moon and Mars Opposite Uranus / Sextile Pluto

  • November 5th:  the Sun in Scorpio opposes the Moon in Taurus at 13°22′ with the Moon sextiling the North Node, and the Sun trining the North Node.

  •  Also on the Full Moon, Mars perfects its opposition with Uranus and also sextiles Pluto.

Interpretation:
This Full Moon unites fixed earth and fixed water—Taurus and Scorpio. It’s a mix of spiritual and sensual energy: grounded, magnetic, and sometimes stubborn. Together, they offer an opportunity to gain deep insight and build lasting structures that support emotional and material security—if we allow transformation rather than resist it.  Scorpio’s drive for renewal meets Taurus’s instinct to preserve—like a mountain facing an iceberg, both are fixed in their form, unwilling to shift until the pressure becomes undeniable.

The Sun trine the North Node represents the fulfillment of potential. We’re offered a period of harmonious growth, where our core identity and purpose align with our evolutionary path. The Moon’s sextile to the North Node creates an easy flow between emotional needs and soul growth. There’s an opportunity for congruence between who we are, how we feel, and where we’re headed.

Meanwhile, Mars opposes Uranus and sextiles Pluto.  Mars in Sagittarius opposite Uranus in Gemini pits large-scale, idealistic goals (Sagittarius) against the practical, data-driven realities of the moment (Gemini). This can produce tension between acting on instinct and responding to real-time information, sparking volatile yet innovative outcomes.  Mars sextile Pluto in Aquarius, however, channels this tension into purpose: a powerful drive to pursue beliefs with intellectual depth and visionary intensity. It can inspire freedom through knowledge and the courage to use unconventional approaches to reach meaningful goals.

Mercury Retrograde  - Leaving Mars for Venus

  • November 9th:  at 6°51′ Sagittarius, Mercury begins its retrograde, which ends on November 29, 2025, at 20°42′ Scorpio, as Mercury stations direct.

  •  November 11th: Jupiter stations retrograde in Cancer, joining Mercury, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus already in retrograde motion—bringing the total to five planets in retrograde.

Interpretation:
By November 11th, five planets are in retrograde—a sacred pause and cosmic invitation to review, reconsider, and reassess what has unfolded since October. Jupiter’s turn inward adds a spiritual dimension to the reflection, urging us to examine how our beliefs, emotional frameworks, and moral compass shape our choices. Growth now comes through stillness, and wisdom deepens in the quiet space of awareness.

As the Scorpio New Moon rises on November 19th–20th, retrograde Mercury not only re-aspects Pluto and Uranus but then quickly joins the Sun, Moon, and Venus—in Scorpio. This marks a moment of profound introspection. Mercury retraces its steps, revisiting the intense dialogues it and Mars had with the outer planets earlier in the season. Yet Mars is no longer part of the conversation, signaling that cooler heads—and softer hearts—can now prevail.

Later, around November 25th at 22° Scorpio, Mercury meets Venus, and together they form a grand water trine with Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune. The tone turns conciliatory. Where Mars once brought heat and urgency, Venus brings grace, diplomacy, and the desire to restore balance.

And finally on November 29th, Mercury stations direct and follows Venus’s lead, carrying forward the lessons learned from its retrograde. As it retraces the grand water trine and returns to its final opposition with Uranus and sextile with Pluto, we’re invited to integrate new understanding with greater consciousness and care.

Closing Reflection…

The Taurus Full Moon reminds us that stability doesn’t come from standing still—it comes from rooting into what’s real while everything else transforms around us. Through the ebb and flow of this season, we’re being asked to trust the process of alchemy: what once felt fixed is softening, what once felt lost is returning with new meaning.

Each Grand Water Trine in these late decans has carried a wave of emotional release and spiritual integration—healing the past, clearing the sediment, and preparing the soil for what’s to come. Yet as Mercury and Venus form their final aspects to Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini, we begin crossing from deep emotional waters into fresh mental terrain. This isn’t a call to abandon feeling for logic, but to weave the two together—to bring the heart’s whispers into our mental frameworks.

When Mercury returns to retrieve Venus, it’s as if the mind remembers what the heart has known all along: that progress without compassion becomes conquest, and that fairness, grace, and balance must be written into every new idea, policy, and promise. The fire of Mars has done its work—it cleared space—but if we rebuild only from intellect, we risk planting seeds in scorched earth.

This lunation asks us to think with tenderness and act with awareness. To allow the grounded wisdom of Taurus and the soulful depth of Scorpio to merge into something new—something that honors both love and logic. The shift ahead isn’t about abandoning the past; it’s about integrating its lessons into the architecture of what’s next.

As the Supermoon rises, let’s listen to the quiet truth beneath the noise. Cycles close, balance returns, and from our deepest knowing, we build beauty that provides security for all beings.

In light and love,

Brenda
