Aries Full Supermoon 2025: Courage, Connection and Relational Intelligence Lessons

Quick note: My posts are layered. The intro + closing share the essence, while the aspect breakdowns are for those who love the deeper dive. Read your way — the message will still resonate.

On October 6th at 11:47 PM EDT, we step into the light of the Full Supermoon at 14° Aries. It echoes the turning point we crossed on September 22nd — at the autumnal equinox and the beginning of Libra season. That moment invited us to raise our relational intelligence (RQ), to consider how we show up in connection with others (see Virgo Solar Eclipse post for more).

This Full Moon activates the Aries–Libra axis: Aries, the sign of self-assertion and raw individuality, versus Libra, the sign of partnership, harmony, and compromise. This polarity asks us to find balance between our own needs and the needs of others. Full Moons always bring revelations — and under this lunation, people and circumstances may test just how far we’ve come in practicing true relational intelligence.

Though not broadly aspected, this lunation carries potency. Its ruler, Mars, sits powerfully in Scorpio, the sign of its ancient rulership. Mars in Scorpio is precise, strategic, and emotionally intense. It is fiercely protective and loyal, yet capable of cutting ties swiftly when trust is broken. This energy can manifest as devotion and resilience — or as possessiveness, jealousy, and manipulation.

The invitation of this Full Moon is integration. How do we communicate our deepest desires and emotional truths without falling into control tactics, impulsive reactions, or power plays? nThe Aries Full Moon urges us to pursue what we want with clarity and courage, while Libra reminds us that true strength lies in balancing honesty with harmony and self-assertion with respect for connection.

Full  Moon Aspects:

  • Aries Moon opposes Libra Sun

  • Mars in Scorpio inconjunct Aries Moon

  • Mars in Scorpio inconjunct Libra Sun

Aspect Deets:

Aries Moon opposite Libra Sun
The Aries–Libra tug-of-war is on! The Moon in Aries wants independence, quick action, and bold honesty, while the Sun in Libra craves balance, partnership, and grace. This opposition may stir up conflict between me vs. we — between raw emotional needs and the desire for harmony. The lesson? Relational intelligence. We’re asked to integrate Aries’ courage with Libra’s diplomacy: assert yourself without aggression, honor independence while cherishing connection.

Mars in Scorpio inconjunct the Aries Moon
Mars in Scorpio plays the long game — strategic, powerful, and transformative. The Aries Moon, by contrast, acts fast, wants freedom, and hates hesitation. This inconjunct can also feel like an inner tug-of-war: act now or wait and plot? We risk being impulsive when caution is needed, or holding back when boldness would serve. The key lies in blending Scorpio’s strategy and depth with Aries’ fire — flexibility and self-awareness turn this awkwardness into empowerment.

Mars in Scorpio inconjunct the Libra Sun
Here, our drive for control (Mars in Scorpio) rubs awkwardly against our desire for fairness and connection (Libra Sun). The danger? Power struggles, manipulation, or bending too far to keep the peace. The medicine? Transform this tension into growth. Use Scorpio’s intensity for self-mastery, not domination, and Libra’s diplomacy to create win–win situations. Assert your needs with both strength and grace — it is possible to honor your truth and maintain balance in your relationships.

In Closing…

This Aries Full Moon reminds us that growth doesn’t come from choosing self over other or other over self, but from learning to honor both. Aries teaches courage and truth; Libra teaches harmony and grace. Mars in Scorpio asks us to be intentional, to channel our intensity into transformation rather than conflict.

Ultimately, this lunation is an RQ checkpoint — a test of our relational intelligence. Can we speak our truths without aggression, honor our needs without control, and hold space for others without losing ourselves? If we can meet this moment with honesty, awareness, and respect — for both ourselves and those we walk beside — then this Full Moon becomes less of a battlefield and more of a breakthrough.

In light and love,

Brenda
